¶ Keyboard and Monitor Setup
This guide will have you connecting to your device without an Ethernet cable.
¶ Setup
- Prepare a monitor that allows an HDMI connection.
Your EdgePi device includes a Micro HDMI port. You may need to use an adapter if you don't have the right cable.
- Attach a USB keyboard to one of your device's USB ports. Any bluetooth/wired keyboard will work.
- Once all your peripherals are connected to your device and powered on, you can power on your EdgePi.
- You should see a boot screen with the Raspberry Pi logo in the corner.
- Once the boot is complete, you will be prompted to login to your device.

¶ Connecting to Wi-Fi
- In the command line, run the command
sudo raspi-config.
- In the new menu, select
System Optionsby pressing Enter.
- Select the
Wireless LANoption.
- Enter your Wi-Fi's SSID.
- Enter your Wi-Fi's passphrase.
- Your device is now connected to Wi-Fi.
¶ Finding your device's IP Address
- In the command line, run the command
ifconfig - Your IP address will appear next to
inet, belowwlan0.
Congrats! You can now enjoy your wireless device.

Now that your edgepi is connected to WiFi, you can view its sensor values from the online portal, or program it however you'd like.
